Chatorkhand situated at the distance of approximately 75 km North-West from Gilgit City. It formed a Union Council covering 8 villages e.g. Chatorkhand, Kuchdeh , Dain , Pakora , Aminabad , Shunas , Asumber and Sholja Valley. Total households are 1514 and member households are 1010 which is the 66.7% of total population. There are 5942 male and 5787 females in this UC. The major dialect spoken here is “Khowar” however Burushiski speaking people also living in Chatorkhand, Pakora and Shunas Valley. There are 21 Jamatkhanas and 10 Mosques in the area.

I am aiming to contribute in its progress to stand it in equal to national level institutions on the bases of Transparency and Equality…….” Syed Ashiq Hussain born in Pakora Valley in April 1st 1965. He has done his matriculation in 1985 from Govt. High School Pakora Ishkoman. After that he took responsibilities of various institutions due to his utmost desire of upliftment of the institutions. He was awarded the title of “AALIJAH” from the His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan in 2008. He rendered his services to the following institutions as different designations in various times:  Village Organization Pakora as Manager  Progressive Multi Purpose Co-Operative Society Pakora as President  VEC D.J High School Pakora as Convener  PTA Govt. High School Pakora as Chairman Kurumber Multi Purpose Co Operative Society Chatorkhand as Director
