Abuout Chatorkhand

Chatorkhand situated at the distance of approximately 75 km North-West from Gilgit City. It formed a Union Council covering 8 villages e.g. Chatorkhand, Kuchdeh , Dain , Pakora , Aminabad , Shunas , Asumber and Sholja Valley. Total households are 1514 and member households are 1010 which is the 66.7% of total population. There are 5942 male and 5787 females in this UC. The major dialect spoken here is “Khowar” however Burushiski speaking people also living in Chatorkhand, Pakora and Shunas Valley. There are 21 Jamatkhanas and 10 Mosques in the area.

Chatorkhand has 305 Households, 1238 male, 1218 female and the total population is 2456 according to the census report of 2010 done by LSO it self. There are 2 Women and 4 Village Organizations containing 229 member households in this valley.which is 75% of total population of Chatorkhand.

Dain Valley

Dain Valley has the total population of 3500. There are 1700 male and 1800 females. There are 245 member households from 450 households which is 54% of total population of the area.
